The Parliament building was Charles Barry’s project but for the tower he turned to Augustus Pugin. Big Ben was Pugin’s last design and it was made in gothic style to resemble the architecture of the entire palace building. A lot of hard work has been put into the design and construction of this clock tower but it shows today because it is one of the most beautiful clock towers in the world.
